Pathway for offsetting carbon footprints to make all events environmentally friendly in Pattaya City.

At 2:00 PM on September 9, 2024, at Meeting Room 131 of Pattaya City Hall, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, along with Mr. Phumipipat Kamolnat, Secretary to the Mayor of Pattaya, heads of government departments, and related officials, welcomed Mr. Suvit Thammamongkol, a representative from ESG Planet Co., Ltd., who presented a project aimed to help Pattaya becomes a model of sustainability city in Thailand. The initiative focuses on implementing strategies to protect the environment, and proposes carbon footprints offsetting programs to ensure that all events, festivals, and concerts held in Pattaya are environmentally friendly.

Mayor Poramet also spoke about the collaboration with the private sector to make Pattaya a "Green Tourism City," believing that the partnership between the public and the private sectors will be an important key to attract activities that are suited to the context of Pattaya. This aligns with the "Better Pattaya" policy, building on continuous efforts to improve the city, enhance the quality of life for Pattaya residents, and protect the environment, addressing future global challenges.
